Urine retention manifested by passing difficult urination with distending pain in lower abdomen and sometimes even blockage of urine. Differentiation: Accumulation of heat in the bladder: Main manifestations: Scanty hot urine or retention of urine, distention and fullness in the lower abdomen. There is a thirst but at the same time no desire to drink. Decline of fire heat: Main manifestations: Dribbling urination, attenuating in force of the urine discharge, pallor, listlessness, chilliness below the lumbers, weakness in knee and loins. Damage of the qi of the meridian: Main manifestations: Dribbling urination or retention of urine, distension and dull pain in the lower abdomen, purplish spots on the tongue, hesitant, rapid pulse.
