DIZZINESS

DIZZINESS
 A sensation of light-headedness and unsteadiness, is often caused by a decrease in blood supply to the brain, while vertigo is caused by disturbances in the inner ear and the balance centers of the brain. It is necessary to understand the specific symptoms a patient is experiencing in order to make the correct approach;
Common causes of dizziness –
Low blood pressure – Dizziness, light headedness, and the feeling of passing out is a common complaints who have low blood pressure. When the blood pressure is too low, not enough oxygen-rich blood is being delivered to the brain, and its function can be affected.
•sweating,
•nausea and vomiting,
•shortness of breath, and
•chest pain.
 •anemia (decreased red blood cell count)
•bleeding
•dehydration (loss of water in the body) often occurs with infections that cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Most attacks of dizziness are brief and harmless and are caused by a momentary reduction of the blood supply to the brian,such as may occur when getting up suddenly after sitting or lying down. However, dizziness may be a symptom of ear or brain disorders, cardiovascular disease, anaemia or Hypo or Hyper – glycemic or it may be a side effect of certain drugs – especially those used to treat high blood pressure.
•endocrine disease.
•addison’s disease: it occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough cortisol to meet the needs of the body, it’s a naturally occurring steroid produced by the body and is part of the stress response (fight or flight). If cortisol levels are low, a patient may experience weakness, fatigue, dizziness, light-headedness, low blood sugar, and low blood pressure.
Vertigo – Vertigo is often described as feeling dizzy, or a sensation of spinning. The patient may specifically mention that the room seems to be spinning around them. Sometimes the complaint is loss of balance or loss of equilibrium. This often occurs because of irritation in the inner ear (the part of the ear that involves balance, not hearing).
 The inner ear has two parts that help the body determine its position in space relative to gravity; 1) the semicircular canals and, 2) the vestibule.
 There are three semicircular canals that are aligned at right angles to each other. These canals are filled with fluid and are lined with a nerve-filled, crystal-encrusted membrane that transmits information to the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls balance and coordination). The cerebellum collects information from visual stimuli and the nerve endings in muscles associated with proprioception (the perception of movement), to assist the brain in assessing where the body is in relationship to gravity and its surroundings.
Normally, when the head moves, fluid in the semicircular canals shift, and that information is relayed to the brain. When the head stops moving, the fluid stops as well, and that information is relayed to the brain.
In some cases there may be a short delay in the transmission of this information to the brain. For example, when a person rides on go-round or spins quickly around in circles, the fluid in the canals develop momentum and even though the body stops spinning, the fluid in the semicircular canals may continue to move. This causes vertigo, or a sensation of spinning, and may cause the person to fall or stumble. It also may be associated with vomiting.
•Acoustic neuroma: This is a benign tumor of the ear that can present with vertigo.
•Vertigo is the sensation of spinning and may present without warning and be associated with nausea and vomiting. Patients with inner ear problems may be unable to move without generating symptoms.
The mild case can be relieved by closing one’s eyes, while the serious case has an illusion of bodily movement with rotatory sensation like sitting in a sailing boat or moving car, and even accompanied by nausea, vomiting and sweating.
Pathogenesis ;
Hyperactivity of the liver ;
The liver is analogize as wind and wood, characterized by movement and ascending. Over contemplation, anxiety, depression or anger can damage the liver yin, resulting in hyperactivity of liver yang. Dizziness occurs in case the liver yang moves as the wind and ascends to attack the brain. Or the kidney water, generally in deficiency, fails to nourish the liver. Dizziness occurs in case the liver is lack of nourishment, which leads to hyperactivity of liver yang. In both situations there is deficiency in the lower but excess in the upper part of the body.
Main manifestations : Dizziness aggravated by anger, irritability, flushed face, red eyes, tinnitus, bitter taste in the mouth, dream-disturbed sleep, red tongue proper with yellow coating, string taut, rapid pulse.
Analysis : Anger damages the liver yin causing hyperactivity of the liver yang which transforms into fire. When the fire flares up, flushed face, red eyes and irritability appear. The spirit stored in the liver is upset by disorders of the liver, then dream disturbed sleep occurs. The red tongue proper with yellow coating, bitter taste in the mouth, string-taut, rapid pulse are the signs of yin deficiency resulting in fire hyperactivity.
Deficiency of blood ;
the heart and spleen are damaged by overwork and over contemplation in case of a weak constitution after a disease. The damaged spleen fails to produce qi and blood, leading to deficiency. In case the brain in poorly nourished by blood, dizziness occurs.
Main manifestations : dizziness accompanied by pallor and lustreless complexion, weakness, palpitation, insomnia, pale lips and nails, lassitude, pale tongue proper, thready and weak pulse. Dizziness occurs mostly after a serious disease or loss of blood and is aggravated by overwork. Loss of consciousness happens in sever cases.
Analysis : Dizziness is inevitable because deficiency of qi and blood fails to nourish the brain. The heart dominates the blood and is manifested in the complexion. The spleen dominates the transportation and transformation to manufacturer qi and blood. If the heart and spleen are injured, the blood will be insufficient, thereby the complexion is lustreless and the lips and the nails are pale. Deficiency of blood leads to palpitation and insomnia. Deficiency of qi gives rise to weakness, lassitude, anorexia and is aggravated by overwork. Pale tongue and thready, weak pulse are the signs of deficiency of blood.
Interior retention of phlegm dampness ;
In a person with generally abundant phlegm dampness, irregular food intake and overwork damage the stomach and the spleen, impairing their function in transportation and transformation and leading to production of dampness and phlegm. Then the stagnant phlegm and qi may impede the ascending clear yang and the descending of the turbid yin, and thus dizziness occurs.
Main manifestations : Dizziness with a heavy feeling of the head and suffocating sensation in the chest, nausea, profuse, sputum, anorexia, somnolence, white, sticky tongue coating, soft, rolling pulse.
Analysis : Dizziness with a heavy feeling of the head is the sign of the pure yang disturbed by phlegm dampness. Suffocating sensation in the chest and nausea are caused by qi obstructed in the middle jiao. anorexia and somnolence are due to the spleen yang deficiency. White sticky tongue coating soft and soiling pulse are the signs of phlegm dampness.
SuJok therapy stands as a highly efficient method of non medicamentous treatment of dizziness patients. The SuJok therapy approach has the capacity to remedy health disorders at a variety of levels, including emotional, mental, at the somatic (intersystemic) level, the afflicted system and cellular levels. SuJok therapy will emerge useful both as a tactical therapeutic modality in order to relieve an exacerbated condition, and as a strategic treatment aimed at dealing with first-order factors of the dizziness pathogenesis.
SuJok therapy has proved to be in tune with the therapeutic methods advised by the International Su Jok acupuncture by the points corresponding to the ear, and also by Six ki energy therapy.

DIALYSIS

DIALYSIS
A process to remove or filters waste products and excess fluids from the blood,when kidneys no longer can, normally done in chronic KIDNEY FAILURE condition <in which the kidneys can not perform the function of filteration of the wastes, excess water and fluids properly>.  According to conventional medicine system, in chronic kidney failure, dialysis must be performed twice or three times a week for life, or until the kidney transplant is performed. There are two methods of dialysis;
Hemodialysis diverts the patients blood through an artificial kidney ( a renal dialysis machine that filters the blood in imitation of the kidneys. It is mostly performed in out patient clinics. Here, the blood from an artery in the patients arm is delivered to the dialysis machine, where it is separated from the dialysis fluid by an artificial membrane through which waste chemicals and water can be filtered out. At the end of this process the blood is returned to an arm vein.
Peritoneal dialysis uses the filtering properties of the peritoneum, the membrane that lines the abdominal and pelvic cavities and covers the intestines. Waste products in the blood passing through the peritoneal capillaries are filtered into fluid introduced into the peritoneal cavity via a catheter <thin tube> inserted through a small incision in the abdominal wall allows dialysis fluid to pass into the peritoneal cavity.
Dialysis is not a cure, but it can help the affected person feel better and live longer.  Kidney transplant may be best choice if you are otherwise healthy. With a new kidney, you will feel much better and be able to live a more normal life. But have to wait for a kidney that is a good match for blood and tissue type.
Dialysis Diet – When the food that consume is digested, the blood picks up nutrients and carries them to all the cells in the body. The cells absorb the nutrients and deposit the wastes back into the bloodstream. Healthy kidneys remove wastes from the blood and eliminate them through urine and bowel movements. When kidneys fail in performing this function, hemodialysis or dialysis of the blood is used to provide an artificial replacement for the kidney failure. Despite being an effective way of artificially removing wastes from the bloodstream, an artificial system cannot completely replace the natural functions of kidneys. Besides removing wastes from the body,kidneys also function as part of endocrine system,releasing hormones,an active form of vitamin D for production of red blood cells, as well as helping in absorption of calcium and phosphate. While the kidneys work around the clock for effective purification of the blood, wastes can build up between dialysis sessions. A dialysis diet is meant specifically for reducing the build-up of wastes by monitoring what you eat and drink.
Some of the key aspects of the dialysis diet are:
Fluids – A dialysis diet is required to control the amount of fluids, potassium, phosphorous and sodium in the body. This needs to be done while ensuring that the body gets enough calories and proteins for maintaining health. The body can accumulate fluids between dialysis sessions, causing puffiness or weight gain, and must be controlled. Some fruits and vegetables contain a lot of water and therefore should be limited to small quantities. These include melons, grapes, oranges, tomatoes, celery and the like.
Minerals –
Healthy kidneys maintain a proper level of phosphorous to keep a steady heart beat. Smaller portions of foods rich in potassium like avocados, bananas, kiwis and dried fruit are recommended to limit potassium intake. The same rule applies to oranges, melons and pears. You can remove some of the potassium from some vegetables like tomatoes and potatoes by peeling them and soaking in large amounts of water for several hours. Too much phosphorus can weaken bones by pulling out calcium. Milk, cheese, dried beans, peas, colas, nuts and peanut butter should also be controlled since they have a high phosphorous content.
Proteins – Usually a low-protein diet is advised for a natural weight loss to help in maintaining muscle and repairing damaged tissue. In case of dialysis, you may be advised to follow a high-protein diet to restrict production of wastes like urea. Take high-quality proteins from fish, and egg whites.
Weight Management – Some diabetics need to add to their weight and may be advised to consume more calories. Oils from olives, rapeseed and safflower seed are healthy sources of calories and you may use them generously on bread, rice and noodles.
Changing diet can help protect the damaged kidneys. It can also help to control other diseases, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, that can make kidney disease worse.
Key Points – Need to limit salt(sodium), fluids, and protein. Some also have to limit potassium and phosphorus.
Disease means that for some time kidneys have not been working the way they should. Kidneys have important job of filtering the blood. They remove waste products and extra fluid and flush them from body as urine. When kidneys do not work right, wastes build up in the blood and make a person sick. Each of kidneys has about a million tiny filters,called nephrons. If nephrons are damaged,they stop working. For a while,healthy nephrons can take on extra work. But if damage continues,more and more nephrons shut down. After a certain point, the nephrons that are left cannot filter your blood well enough to keep you healthy.  Sodium is a naturally occurring mineral that the body needs to function properly. But too much sodium can cause problems, such as high blood pressure (hypertension) or heart failure, or make problems worse.  Salt is the most familiar source of sodium. Sodium is often hidden in foods that don’t taste salty, such as cheddar cheese and processed foods. Sodium is also a major ingredient of mono sodium glutamate (MSG), dis odium phosphate, and baking powder.  If to cut back on sodium in diet : Limit ready-mixed sauces and seasonings,frozen dinners, canned soups, and salad dressings, which usually contain a lot of sodium. Products labeled “low sodium” contain less than 140 mg of sodium per serving.  Eat lots of fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. These foods have very little sodium. Don’t put the salt shaker on the table, or get a shaker that lets very little salt come out. Use light salt or salt substitute sparingly. Always measure the salt in recipes and use half of what is called for.
If, RENAL<KIDNEY> not functioning properly, there is a possibility to regain the inactive or under active kidneys into the functional one that too without the dialysis. According to the energy concept of SUJOK acupuncture.
The above integrated concepts of alternative medicine, whereby no medicine is ever recommended during the treatment process at all. The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.  SuJok Acupuncture is a traditionally accomplished through insertion of very fine needles at the certain energy meridians, energy gates, joints of affected organs, or energy flow therapy of SuJok located in miniature form of hands and feet’s, that too needle is to be prick only 1mm on the upper surface of skin. One can start getting effectiveness to have CURE effect of chronic kidney disease within 10 to 15 sessions. The remission of the disease can be achieved and medicament’s therapy simultaneously can be reduced or eliminated altogether. The course of treatment is definitely uneventful. ONE MUST OPT FOR IT, as there is no side effect at all.

CLIMACTERIC

CLIMACTERIC
The high level of urbanization and intensity of production processes has impact on all spheres of human life. Women work in industry, and during their climacteric period they often continue to do routine work. It is noteworthy that even the physiological manifestations of climacteric have certain effects on female psychological well being. The notion of illness, irrespective of the etiological factor, is related to a condition of dis-adaptation in the system of vegetative functioning of an organism and manifestation of vegeto-visceral dysfunctions at various organic and systemic levels. The state of adjustment and vegetative functioning of an organism is considered fundamental in both physiology and pathology.
As age-related changes arrive in women compensatory reactions weaken and reproductive functions die away. The ovaries gradually seize to produce sex hormones. Owing to deficit of estrogen’s vaginal and bladder mucosa loose elasticity, become thinner, drier, easy-to-hurt and more vulnerable to inflammatory processes. This often causes pains during intimacy, involuntary passing waters when laughing or coughing, and also itching and burning sensations, which make a woman’s life quality considerably worse. In many women during climacteric hormone restructuring leads to upsetting of an organism’s adjustment processes which is clinically manifest in such symptoms as hot flushes, excessive sweating, insomnia, tachycardia, headaches, dizziness,etc. The woman becomes irritable, ill-tempered, nervous, lachrymose, sexual desire diminishes. These depressive conditions realize their influence on the organism through the vegetative nervous system (VNS), the basic status of which determines the organism’s response level.
The problem of treatment of climacteric syndrome (CS) in women during pre-menopause is very topical because of high frequency of this pathology. Therefore, choosing optimal therapeutic methods that prevent the development of pathological climacteric in women has important clinical implications. Though with the somatic condition getting better following basic therapy some of these disorders become less intensive, the majority of symptoms related to asthenia and vegeto-vascular impairment persist for quite a long time, and the problem of nervous and mental disturbance cannot be solved by medication alone and requires to look for new, mainly non-medication methods of treatment. It is noteworthy that acupuncture is nowadays a universally recognized, scientifically-grounded method aimed at regulation of stress and adaptation responses in the diversity of their physiological and clinical manifestations. In other words, the system of active points, along with the nervous and hormone systems, is a regulatory system without using which neither prevention of disease nor its full-value treatment are possible. The present study was aimed at investigating of effectiveness of acupuncture in treatment of pathological climacteric.
SJA is one of the most perspective, safe, cost-efficient and effective acupuncture methods. The areas corresponding to ovaries, uterus, brain and spinal cord were stimulated, syndromal treatment was administered, too.
Analysis of semiological structure prior to treatment showed that peripheral vegetovascular disorders such as excessive sweating, hot flushes, numbness of limbs, dyspnea and signs of meteolability (sensitivity to changes of weather, temperature fluctuations of the air, magnet storms, changes of humidity) was observed in all patients. The syndrome of liability of the cardiovascular system in the form of cardiology’s, flushes, palpitations, tachycardia, changes of heart rate, fluctuations of blood pressure, proneness to dizziness, headaches, rapid fatigue and nausea observed in patients. The psycho-emotional syndrome manifest as anxiety, irritability, tearfulness, feelings of anger and fear, and also depressive conditions were also found. Urogenital disorders such as incontinence of urine, cystalgias, vaginal pruritus, dispareunie were found in patients too.
With impairment of functions of any organ of system their operation and frequency characteristics get disturbed too, so, by the biological feedback law, stimulation of certain points adjusts the affected organ to the primary level. SJA is not aimed at removing organic changes but at compensating for biological defects of the endocrine, immune and nervous systems, and also of adrenergetic imbalance. Decreasing the noradrenaline tonus up to premenopausal level, increasing the level of dopamine and activity of endogenous opioid peptides, SJA has a positive effect on all manifestations of climacteric syndrome. In its turn, correction of vasomotor complaints, that is, excessive excitability, irritability, feelings of anger and fear, insomnia, headaches, dispareunia contributes to higher spirits and improvement of a woman’s life quality which produces a kind of “domino-effect”.
SuJok Acupuncture, particularly energy concept – itself is a powerful medicine, which aids in strengthening the immune system and serves to prevent diseases, control pain and increase both the ability to function and the quality of peoples lives.  It has been shown to promote the health and improve the body’s immune function. It has also helped many people who were not successfully treated through conventional western medicine.  Several conditions can be dramatically improved or remedied in full including problems related to climacteric syndrome.
The beauty of the acupuncture SuJok is that each treatment is catered to the needs of an individual patients energy based. The treatment of energy concept is only on the miniature form of hands, chosen for the overall well being with the objective of increasing circulation of the blood and vital energy.
One must opt to have faster Total Effectiveness.

ANOXIA

ANOXIA
ANOXIA an-(without) + -ox- (oxygen) + -ia == the state of being without oxygen> is the lack of a normal supply of oxygen<a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas that makes up about 20% of the air we breathe (and at least half the weight of the entire solid crust of the earth) and which combines with most of the other elements to form oxides>. Oxygen is essential to human, animal and plant life.  The chemical symbol for the element oxygen is O. As a medicinal gas, oxygen contains not less than 99.0% by volume of O2. to body tissues or inability of the tissues to use the oxygen or sometimes used loosely as a synonym for hypoxia.  It is also called hypoxia<a subnormal concentration of oxygen. By contrast with normoxia <norm- (normal) + -ox- (oxygen) + -ia = a normal oxygen state> and anoxia <the absence or near absence of oxygen>. From hyp- (below) + -ox- (oxygen) + -ia>.  Anoxic anoxia occurs when blood flowing through the lungs does not pick up enough oxygen.  This can happen when there is a reduced amount of oxygen in the air.  The blood also can fail to pick up sufficient oxygen because of defects in the lungs or because of obstruction of the air passages involved in breathing.  Rapid, deep breathing is a common symptom of anoxic anoxia.  The condition is often accompanied by cyanosis, a bluish coloration of the skin.  Severe cases may lead to loss of consciousness and even death.
Anaemic anoxia occurs when blood cannot carry its normal load of oxygen.  This happens when the blood has insufficient amounts of haemoglobin (the substance that transports oxygen in the blood) or when haemoglobin is altered by carbon monoxide or other poisons.  Stagnant anoxia develops when the blood flows so slowly that it loses most of its oxygen before completing its course through a tissue.  Part of the tissue thus receives little or no oxygen.  An example of stagnant anoxia occurs during cold temperatures when blood vessels under the fingernails and in the lips constrict, causing cyanosis in those body parts.  Histotoxic anoxia is caused by poisons that make the tissues incapable of using the oxygen supplied.  Cyanide is such a poison.
BUT with ACUPUNCTURE SuJok, the energy concept one may overcome the symptoms of anoxia. It is the coldness energy which is affecting. Dominant energy of coldness with oxygen controlling functional organ lungs can be tackle to over come the such problem. If looking for speedy total effectiveness, one must opt for SuJok acupuncture.  The course of treatment is definitely effective.  Acupuncture’s energy concept of treatment is only on the palm, specially chosen for overall well being with the objective of increasing circulation of the blood and vital energy.

IMMUNE

IMMUNE
Our body is equipped with many aids to survival.  Reflex responses help us to escape when we sense danger; sneezing, coughing and vomiting can get rid of harmful matter; blood clotting prevents haemorrhage; and instinctive drives keep us fed, watered, and sheltered from extremes of heat and cold.  The sexual drive ensures the survival of our species. Most ingenious of all are our defences against infection.
Frontline defences ; The first barriers against invaders are healthy,unbroken skin and lining membranes.  It plays a major role in preventing disease by protecting all the organs, blood vessels, and the lymph system. Without the skin, bacteria and viruses could easily enter the blood system. The skin also houses many lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are a part of the lymph system, a network of vessels,which transport white blood cells, or phagocytes, throughout the body to combat disease.  The tough surface of skin keeps most germs out. Lining membranes are bathed by secretions such as tears and saliva, which wash away bacteria and kill some of them. Mucus coated hairs in the nose filter inhaled air, trapping microbes and dust.  Mucus in the bronchi does a similar job, and hair like projections called cilia on the surface of their lining cells sweep the mucus towards the throat to be swallowed or coughed up. Mucous membranes are cells that line all openings of the body. When dust particles enter the body, they get caught in the mucous membranes and are then digested. Nose hair is the body’s natural air filtration system. Nose hairs capture dust particles keeping them from accumulating in the lungs. A sneeze is the body’s way of ridding itself of accumulated dust particles. Mucous membranes produce a large variety of protective chemicals, which serve to either, destroy the pathogen, or to trigger a stronger immune response. The functions of the protective chemicals are, the pH of skin secretions inhibits the bacterial growth. Skin secretions produce sebum, which contains chemicals, which are toxic to bacteria. The stomach mucosa secretes hydrochloric acid (HCL) as well as other protein digesting enzymes. Both of these substances, hydrochloric acid as well as protein digesting enzymes destroy pathogens. Mucous proves to “stick” microscopic organisms, which may have entered the respiratory and digestive passageways. Lacriminal fluid and saliva contain lysozyme, a type of enzyme which is known to destroy bacteria.  Acid and enzymes in stomach secretions kill many micro organisms and the normal acidity of the vagina prevents excessive growth of unwanted bacteria.
Deeper defences ; If germs do penetrate our outer defences, a second force of defenders awaits them. Antibodies in the blood and tissues may destroy them, and white blood cells join the battle. First to arrive are the granulocytes, natural germs-killers. Then come the monocytes, which become macrophages able to gobble up bacteria and foreign matter. A macrophage that has digested disease causing agents sends fragments of their proteins to its surface membrane to act as antigens that can evoke an immune response.
The immune response ; This is the most specific defence against infection. Its two major weapons are antibody production and cell mediated immunity, tasks of B and T lymphocytes respectively. B lymphocytes develop in bone marrow where each is primed to make a specific antibody. When a germ enters the body, some B cells recognise and attach to its antigen, which makes the cell divide and produce many identical offspring cells.  After millions of copies have been made, most B cells stop dividing and become plasma cells that produce the anitbody. Some activated B cells continue to divide, to ensure a supply for maintaining long term immunity.
T lymphocytes mature in the thymus where they learn to distinguish self from non self.  Killer T cells lock with a cell that has been invaded by viruses and release chemicals that destroy it. Helper T cells attach to specific antigens and release lymphokines which travel in plasma. Some lymphokines can protect cells from virus invasion;others summon more T cells, macrophages and granulocytes to the attack.  Suppressor T cells can slow down parts of the immune response.
The immune response operates against not only microorgannisms but also other foreign non self matter within the body, such as allergens, transplanted tissues and cancer cells.  Occasionally the immune system mistenly identifies a body protein as non-self. The result is autoimmune disease in which antibodies are formed against one or more of the bodys own tissues.
The lymphatic system ;  is made up of T cells, B cells, antibodies, and platelets. When the skin is scratched, platelets travel to the wound. They then try to mend the wound, and stop the bleeding. The T cells are the cells that attack all diseases that enter the body. B cells are the cells that manufacture antibodies. Antibodies are proteins that isolate pathogens, foreign substances, so that T cells can attack and destroy it.  Lymph is watery fluid that contains dissolved substances and particles such as germs or fragments of dead cells. When lymph accumulates between cells and its pressure rises, it is pushed through valves in the walls of tiny blind-ended lymphatic capillaries and enters the lymph stream, joining larger lymphatic vessels that transport lymph to the lymph nodes, commonly called lymph glands, where it is filtered and comes into contact with lymphocytes. Further lymphatic vessels carry filtered lymph from the nodes to the thoracic and other lymph ducts that drain into large veins near the heart.  Sentinel lymph nodes, these clusters of nodes located in the neck, armpits, groins, pelvis and abdomen filter lymph from major body parts before it drains into the bloodstream.  Under the lymph nodes capsule is a fine network lined with macrophages. Within the network are strands and nodules of denser lymphoid tissue, where lymphocytes are produced and stored. Valves within lymphatic vessels prevent backflow.
The spleen ; About the size of a clenched fist, the spleen nestles under the diaphragm behind the lower left ribs. With a structure similar to that of lymph nodes, the spleen decontaminates blood by filtering it through a macrophage lined network ‘red pulp’ dotted with paler nodules of lymphoid tissue ‘white pulp’, which also surrounds the small arteries. The red pulp cleanses blood of dead organisms, worn out blood cells and other debris, and the spleen’s lymphocytes attack living microbes and other non self material.
 In today’s world there are virtually millions of diseases. Viruses or bacteria cause most diseases. Viruses are considered non-living parasites,which enter healthy cells,release their own DNA and cause the healthy cell to begin manufacturing other virus bodies. Since viruses are not alive, antibiotics cannot kill them; therefore, most viruses have no cure. When a virus enters the body, antibodies are sent to isolate the virus, then B cells arrive to infiltrate and finally kill the virus.  Bacteria on the other hand are a living parasite. It performs the same functions as a virus, but it is considered a living parasite. Since bacteria are living, antibiotics can be used to kill it. Bacteria are considered deadly due to the fact that it can reproduce very quickly.
The human body can be infected by a variety of different foreign substances. These include infections as deadly as a virus, or as common as  a bacterially infected wound.  Once a human is infected with anything foreign the immune system immediately begins fighting the foreign substance.  However the immune system cannot usually kill the entire foreign cells, a few often survive.  However this number is so few a person can hardly claim to be sick or infected.  Although that person is now a carrier.  A carrier is some one who is infected, or has some of a particular foreign substance in him, yet shows no symptoms.  That person could pass on the pathogen or virus without even realizing it.  Viral infection occurs when a virus enters a host, in this case a human host, and begins to use the host cells to replicate.  The virus will attach it self to a host cell and inject its viral DNA into it.  The viral DNA quickly takes over the healthy host DNA and virus replication begins.  If the virus is not stopped it will take over all the host cells.   Bacterial infection occurs as a pathogen enters a human.  The pathogen does not use the human cells as a host as the virus does, but it begins to kill them.  A bacterial infection is easier to treat because the bacteria can be killed.  However for a virus to be killed the host cells must be killed also.
Acupuncture<Onnuri Medicine>, itself is a powerful medicine, which aids in strengthening the immune system and serves to prevent diseases, control pain and increase both the ability to function and the quality of peoples lives.  It has been shown to promote the health and improve the bodys immune function. It has also helped many people who were not successfully treated through conventional western medicine.  Several conditions can be dramatically improved or remedied in full including to enhance the immune system of the body.  The beauty of acupuncture is that each treatment is catered to the needs of an individual patient. Acupuncture, the energy concept on palm will be chosen for overall well being with the objective of increasing circulation of the blood and vital energy. One must opt for ACUPUNCTURE to have total effectivness. The course of treatment is defenietly uneventful.

SWINE FLU

ImmuneSWINE FLU
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) has determined that the H1N1(swine flu) virus that has been causing illness in people is contagious and is spreading from human to human.  Severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu (H1N1) infection in people.  Swine flu is a new influenza virus causing illness in people. Human-to-human infection with the H1N1 flu virus likely occurs the same way as seasonal flu, when an infected person coughs or sneezes into air that others breathe in.
 Symptoms ;
 Swine flu is generally mild to moderate in its severity in humans, and is commonly characterized by ;
 Cough,
 Fever,
 Fatigue, lethargy,
 Lack of appetite,
 Headache,
 Sore throat,
 Runny nose,
 Muscle aches,
 Nausea,
 Stomach ache, and diarrhea may also occur.
 One should get urgent medical attention if having fast breathing or trouble breathing or shortness of breath, bluish or gray skin color, are not drinking enough fluid.
 One should limit the contact with others to avoid spreading infections (including influenza and other respiratory illnesses).
 Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth normally germs spread that way.
 Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
 Besides, the absolute vapour pressure in the air is related to the ability of the virus to survive and be transmitted between people. So the drier the air the easier it is for the virus to survive and be transmitted.”  Low humidity also tends to dry out and irritate your nose, which can make you more susceptible to infections transferred via fingers and inanimate objects.
 One may follow the ways to prevent the spread of illness by taking everyday actions to stay healthy.
 Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
 Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
 Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
 Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
 Avoid touching your face. Touching your mouth, nose and eyes; can introduce flu virus into your system. Germs spread that way.
 Stay home if you get sick.
 Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds and other social distancing measures. These measures will continue to be important after a novel H1N1 vaccine is available because they can prevent the spread of other viruses that cause respiratory infections.  The “H” stands for haemaglutinin and the ‘N” stands for neuraminidase. These are changeable structures in the virus that interact with the immune system. In any case if IMMUNITY is week, there are more chances to attack the virus.
 It is aimed and observations at the clinical efficacy of non-invasive methods of SuJok particularly Acupuncture therapy in treatment, rehabilitation and enhancement of resistance of frequently ill person, with chronic internal foci of infection and recurrent respiratory diseases, to external infections. When evaluating the energy state common characteristics were found that allowed to apply some universal approaches to treatment of a group of frequently ill person, in most of the people the general energy state was low and affected organs were characterized by energy deficiency. The greatest imbalance was found in the corporal Yin meridian system and most often the dominating energy was coldness (fear).
 Acupuncture (SuJok), itself is a powerful medicine, which aids in strengthening the immune system and serves to prevent diseases, control pain and increase both the ability to function and the quality of peoples lives.  Acupuncture has been shown to promote the health and improve the body’s immune function. It has also helped many people who were not successfully treated through conventional western medicine.  Several conditions can be dramatically improved or remedied in full including the existing.
 I personally feels if one has a strong IMMUNITY, it can not affect the person. AND, Acupuncture may enhance the immunity in a effective way including the other symptoms. The treatment concept is only on the palms.
 Treatment ;
 Enhance immunity. It can be through marking red color with permanent marker pen on the palm at the mount below thumb, as per picture.
 Index finger middle joint to mark with red color horizontally<in circle>.
 According to energy concept of SuJok, Heat chakra is projected, its centre is in the middle of the thumb’s proximal phalanx’s.  It will also keep the immunity stronger. One should mark with red color permanent marker pen as shown in picture.
 Enhancement of body’s resistance to infections(stimulate of the thymus, adrenal glands and the pituitary gland),
 Elimination of symptoms of inflammation through spleen,
 Improvement of microcirculation and oxidation process in tissues,
 Normalisation of cortico subcortical links,
 Desensitisation,
 Increase of the general tonus and recovery of impaired psycho emotional state.

ANAEMIA

ANAEMIA
Anemia is a condition in which the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood is reduced, that develops when blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells. Oxygen is transported around the body by the iron-containing pigment haemoglobin in the bloods erythrocytes(red blood cells), these cells are the main transporters of oxygen to organs. If red blood cells are also deficient in hemoglobin, then the body is not getting enough iron.  Anaemia can result from insufficient or abnormal haemoglobin in the red cell or inadequate or abnormal red cells in the circulating blood.
 Symptoms of anemia, like fatigue occur because organs aren’t getting enough oxygen.
 Frequent headache.
 Cold feet and hands.
 Pale body.
 Tired body.
 One may be able to fight off anemia by diet itself that includes beans and dark leafy greens(foods rich in iron, vitamin B12; Calcium can interfere with absorption of iron, so if one has to take iron and calcium supplements,take iron in morning and calcium in evening; most of the pregnant women develop anemia.
 Anemia is a condition in which you don’t make enough red blood cells or those cells don’t have enough hemoglobin,a protein that carries oxygen from lungs to rest of body. Iron deficiency is the most common cause,but some people with anemia get plenty of iron and don’t absorb it properly. A lack of folic acid or vitamin B12 can also prevent the body from making enough red blood cells and lead to anemia. In sickle-cell anemia,an inherited condition,red blood cells are misshapen and unable to move through the body.
 Certain forms of anemia are hereditary and infants may be affected from the time of birth.
 Women in the childbearing years are particularly susceptible to a form of anemia called iron-deficiency anemia because of the blood loss from menstruation and the increased blood supply demands during pregnancy.
 Seniors also may have a greater risk of developing anemia because of poor diet and other medical conditions.
  Iron-deficiency anemia, the most common type, is very treatable with diet changes. Some forms of anemia  like the anemia that develops during pregnancy-are even considered normal.
 Who’s at risk?  If one don’t eat enough iron-rich foods or have heavy periods, ulcers, are pregnant or recently had surgery, there are chances to develop it. People who are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy or battling an infection are also at risk.
 Why is it dangerous? As body is not getting enough oxygen and if left untreated, this can damage heart and other organs. Anemia can also cause fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, pale skin and concentration problems.  It may not have noticeable symptoms,that is why it is often observed unexpectedly during blood tests looking for other conditions. It’s diagnosed with a simple blood test called a complete blood count, or CBC.  Some rare forms of anemia may be best treated with a bone marrow transplant.
 Causes ;
 The blood loss – red blood cells can be lost through bleeding, which can occur slowly over a long period of time, and can often go undetected. This kind of chronic bleeding commonly results from the following : Gastrointestinal conditions such as peptic ulcers, hemorrhoids, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) and cancer.  Use of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) such as aspirin.
 It is caused by decreased or faulty red blood cell production — The body may produce too few blood cells or the blood cells may not work properly. In either case, anemia can result. Red blood cells may be faulty or decreased due to abnormal red blood cells or the lack of minerals and vitamins needed for red blood cells to work properly. Conditions associated with these causes of anemia include the following: Sickle cell anemia – is an inherited disorder. Red blood cells become crescent-shaped because of a genetic defect. They break down rapidly, so oxygen does not get to the body’s organs, causing anemia. The crescent-shaped red blood cells also get stuck in tiny blood vessels, causing pain.
 Iron deficiency anemia-occurs because of a lack of the mineral iron in the body.  Bone marrow in the center of the bone needs iron to make hemoglobin, the part of the red blood cell that transports oxygen to the body’s organs. Without adequate iron, the body cannot produce enough hemoglobin for red blood cells. The result is iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia can be caused by the following: An iron-poor diet, especially in infants, children, teens and vegetarians. The metabolic demands of pregnancy and breastfeeding that deplete a woman’s iron stores. Menstruation. Frequent blood donation. Endurance training. Digestive conditions such as Crohn’s disease or surgical removal of part of the stomach or small intestine. Certain drugs, foods, and caffeinated drinks.
 Vitamin deficiency when vitamin B-12 and folate are deficient. These two vitamins are needed to make red blood cells. Conditions leading to anemia caused by vitamin deficiency include the following: Megaloblastic anemia: Vitamin B-12 or folate or both are deficient. Pernicious anemia:  Poor vitamin B-12 absorption caused by conditions such as Crohn’s disease, an intestinal parasite infection, surgical removal of part of the stomach or intestine, or infection with HIV.  Dietary deficiency: Eating little or no may cause a lack vitamin B12, while overcooking or eating too few vegetables may cause a folate deficiency. Other causes of vitamin deficiency: pregnancy, certain medications, alcohol abuse, intestinal diseases such as tropical sprue and gluten-sensitive enteropathy (celiac disease). During early pregnancy, sufficient folic acid can prevent the fetus from developing neural tube defects such as spina bifida. Bone marrow and stem cell problems may prevent the body from producing enough red blood cells. Some of the stem cells found in bone marrow develop into red blood cells. If stem cells are too few, defective, or replaced by other cells such as metastatic cancer cells, anemia may result. Anemia resulting from bone marrow or stem cell problems include the following: Aplastic anemia occurs when there’s a marked reduction in the number of stem cells or absence of these cells. Aplastic anemia can be inherited, can occur without apparent cause, or can occur when the bone marrow is injured by medications, radiation, chemotherapy, or infection.
 Thalassemia occurs when the red cells can’t mature and grow properly. It is an inherited condition. This condition can range in severity from mild to life-threatening; the most severe form is called Cooley’s anemia. Lead exposure is toxic to the bone marrow, leading to fewer red blood cells. Lead poisoning occurs in adults from work-related exposure and in children who eat paint chips. Improperly glazed pottery can also taint food and liquids with lead.
 Conditions causing this type of anemia include the following: Advanced kidney disease. Hypothyroidism. Other chronic diseases include cancer, infection, and autoimmune disorders such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Anemia Caused by Destruction of Red Blood Cells  When red blood cells are fragile and cannot withstand the routine stress of the circulatory system, they may rupture prematurely, causing hemolytic anemia. Hemolytic anemia is usually associated with jaundice, yellow discoloration of skin and other tissues. Sometimes there is no known cause (spontaneous). Known causes of hemolytic anemia may include any of the following: Inherited conditions, such as sickle cell anemia and thalassemia. Stressors such as infections, drugs, spider venom, or certain foods. Toxins from advanced liver or kidney disease. Inappropriate attack by the immune system(called hemolytic disease of the newborn when it occurs in the fetus of a pregnant woman). Vascular grafts, prosthetic heart valves, tumors, severe burns, chemical exposure, severe hypertension, and clotting disorders.  In rare cases, an enlarged spleen can trap red blood cells and destroy them before their circulating time is up.
 Acupuncture SuJok, itself is a powerful medicine, which aids in strengthening the immune system and serves to prevent diseases, control pain and increase both the ability to function and the quality of peoples lives.  Acupuncture has been shown to promote the health and improve the body’s immune function. It has also helped many people who were not successfully treated through conventional western medicine.  Several conditions can be dramatically improved or remedied in full including Anemia.  It is a traditionally accomplished through insertion of very fine needles at the certain energy gates, joints of affected organs or energy flow therapy of SuJok located in miniature form of hands and feet’s.   Its energy concept of treatment on the palm will be chosen for overall well being with the objective of increasing circulation of the blood and vital energy. The course of treatment is definitely uneventful!
